Last Monday, I went for BSP test again (blood sugar profile)
On Wednesday I received a call from the nurse informing that I have to be hospitalized for BSP stabilization & insulin commencement. Panic and a little blur, I didn’t know what to do and I feel damn scared to accept the fact that I’ve to inject insulin to myself soon. I called my husband and informed my HOD that I need to be hospitalized. Around 1pm hubby picked me up and we went home to picked clothes and my things to be brought to the hospital.
At hospital we went to get the admission letter from O&G clinic and then went to Unit Kemasukan Wad for registration blabla…and around 6.30pm I was already on bed in Wad Obstetrik & Ginekologi HKL. It was so sad when hubby left me hat night, I feel so lonely and missing him dearly. Sedey giler…
The nurses & a doctor came, did BSP on me, and the reading was 4.4. Yes it was low. But they didn’t know that I didn’t have my lunch. The last meal was my breakfast at 8.30am. Then the meal for dinner arrived. I had my dinner and the BSP post dinner was 7.6. At night the senior doctor came and said that I do not need insulin, diet control will do. I had ultrasound, injected in the arm for blood sample, my urine sample and weight were taken. I did not put on weight much, which worries me a little. I gained 1kg, then lost 2kg, then gained back 1kg, then lost it back, then earlier October I gained back 1.5kg, then at the hospital I found out that I lost it back and total weight that I put on since pregnant after turun dan naik is only 1kg!! Hmm..but anyway the baby is healthy and weighs 350g, berat yang sepatutnyalah…

Ok back to the sugar thingy. On Thursday, all my BSP readings were high!! I don’t know why..adakah makanan hospital?? Atau adakah kerana saya main tipu selama ini bila buat BSP? Huhu..The BSP on Thursday were 6.4 at 6am, 9.8 post breakfast, 10 post lunch and 5.9 post dinner. The first three were very high. There and then, they decided to put me with insulin- Actrapid for day with dose of 6/6/6 (3x a day) and Insulatard with same dose. Actrapic & Insulatard are the type of insulins.
The next day, Friday after the insulin, my sugar went down 4.3/6/6/5/9/5.5. At first they were scared if the insulin will make me hypo and they keep telling if I feel sign of hypo like trembling or dizzy or sweating I must quickly eat/drink something sweet. Luckily it did not happened, and it means that the dosage were suitable for me. I requested to go home on that day but was not allowed. Cis. But anyway I had to wait for the pharmacist to teach me how to use the pen sakti to inject insulin on my own at home. The nurse yang inject insulin tu just guna syringe biasa je..jarum suntikan mengerikan tu..hoho..kalau I have to guna that one kat rumah confirm wa takkan cucuk beb..gilos itu. But at hospital nurse yang cucuk, even pakai normal syringe pun taklah rasa sakit sebab orang yang cucuk kan..rasa biasa je…
Tapi on Friday the pharmacist didn’t came, penat tunggu. As a result, memang sah2lah tak dapat balik…adeh tension. Orang dah rindu giler kat umah nie….Nasib baik that night the senior doctor came and said let her go home teeeheheee..rasa mau melompat..dahlah I wanted to go to My Dear Warehouse Sales tu badly. Dah lama dah simpan impian tu..I got to know about the sales way before it was blogged around in shopping and sales..blabla…I called them straight to ask about the next sales before tu..
On Saturday the pharmacist datang bagi pen ajaib, ajar guna and blablabla…then suda boley balik yeay. When hubby picked me up, we went to My Dear straight…yeay..hehehe…
Nak tengok pen ajaib saya???
